Fillers, most often hyaluronic acid, restore volume in selected facial areas such as folds, lips or midface. They do not replace surgery when tissue descent is the main problem.

Who it may be for

Adults seeking modest volume, with no active infection in the area and no contraindication to the product, may be treated. Autoimmune disease, pregnancy and previous complications require extra caution.

How the procedure is performed

After assessment and photographs, product is placed with needle or cannula. The session is outpatient. Hyaluronic acid can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if needed.

Recovery

Swelling and bruising can last days. Makeup and intense exercise may be delayed briefly. Results are immediate but settle over 1–2 weeks.

Risks and consultation

Bruising, lumps, Tyndall effect, vascular occlusion (rare but serious) and dissatisfaction can occur. Emergency protocols exist for vascular events.

Frequently asked questions

How long do fillers last?
Typically months, depending on product, area and metabolism. They are not permanent.
Are they safe in every area?
Some areas carry higher vascular risk. Treatment is limited to indications the injector is trained for.
Can fillers lift a sagging face?
They add volume. Marked sagging usually needs surgical discussion instead of ever-larger filler volumes.
What if I do not like the result?
Hyaluronic acid fillers can often be dissolved. Other materials may not be reversible.
